We welcome all visitors interested in Irish Culture, drama and literature, history and of course – poetry. We want to help our visitors to build enjoyable educational experiences and memories through meeting new people and sharing stories.

The Poetic Mind of WB Yeats

The Poetic Mind of WB Yeats exhibition is open to visitors from 11.00am to 3.00pm, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. If we have to close at other times, we will give as much notice as possible on our website and social media.

Hyde Bridge Gallery

Hyde Bridge Gallery is open to visitors from 10.00am to 3.00pm, Tuesdays to Saturdays. It welcomes new and established artists. Entry to the gallery is free and all exhibited artworks are are available for purchase.

Yeats afternoon tea with sandwiches, pastries and cakes

Poetry Afternoon Tea

Your choice of poetry, melt in the mouth sandwiches, fresh home-made sponge cake, apple tartlets, scones, served with a choice of teas (we can make coffee too).

The Library Experience

Book our beautiful cosy library for a brainstorm session, a confidential meeting, hosting interviews, practising a speech, a board meeting, online call, a workshop. Teas, coffee & a light, tasty lunch can be provided.

Group Bookings

We work with large operators who bring several groups throughout the year and smaller operators who may have one or two tours visiting Ireland. We aim to give everyone the same level of personal attention.

Please note that all tour enquiries require at least three weeks’ notice. This allows us to create a tour that meets your requirements and to identify the tour guide who will suit your tour best.

The Yeats Building, Hyde Bridge, F91 DVY4 is right in the heart of Sligo. It is on the banks of the beautiful Garavogue river and just around the corner from O’Connell Street, the main street in Sligo.

You can take the train to Sligo direct from Dublin Connolly Street station. The journey takes three hours. Dublin is the only city offering a train service to Sligo. Sligo McDiarmada train station is very close to Sligo town and on foot, the Yeats Building is 15 minutes from the station. Visit Irish Rail for timetables and to book tickets.

Buses also travel between Dublin and other main cities. Travel time varies. The buses arrive at Sligo Bus Station, which is next door to the train station. Visit Bus Éireann for timetables and to book tickets.

Taxis are available from both the bus and train stations.
